With over 14 themed battlefields spread across 120 acres of beautiful bushland in Camden, every map offers a unique story, but none get the heart racing quite like the Aerodrome.
While some of our maps, like the dense “Nam” jungle or the chaotic “Junkyard,” rely on stealth and cover, the Aerodrome Battlefield offers a completely different tactical challenge. This battlefield simulates a high-stakes extraction point on a flat, open runway environment. It is fast, exposed, and absolutely mission-critical.

The Mission: Storm the Airfield
Imagine the scene: The whistle blows, and your squad has one singular goal. You need to storm the airfield.
This isn’t a casual skirmish; it is a race against time and enemy fire. The scenario is set up as a classic attack-and-defend mission. One team is tasked with defending the landing strip and protecting vital aircraft assets. Their job is to hold the line and prevent any breach. The other team? You are the assault force. Your mission is to storm across the open ground, secure the zone, and plant a bomb or rescue a pilot before the clock runs out.
Speed is Your Best Weapon
On the Aerodrome, hesitation is your worst enemy. Unlike the dense cover of our jungle maps, where you can take your time to creep forward, this map punishes players who stay still. The layout features crates, fuel drums, and aircraft props that provide cover, but the spaces between them are open and dangerous.
To succeed in the airfield paintball scenario, you need to move with purpose. You need to sprint from cover to cover, trusting your teammates to provide suppressing fire while you advance. The Gameplay: Exposure & Flanking
The Aerodrome is distinct from our other battlefields because of its layout. While the “Junkyard” is a claustrophobic maze of tight corners, the Aerodrome features long sightlines and wide-open spaces. This changes the tactical landscape completely.
The Kill Zone vs. The Flank
The centre of the map, the runway itself, is the “kill zone.” It is the most direct route to the objective, but it is also the most dangerous. If you try to run straight up the middle without a plan, you will likely be sent back to the respawn point very quickly.
This is where outdoor paintball strategy comes into play. Smart teams know that the key to victory on the Aerodrome map is flanking. You need to utilise the field’s edges, pushing through the scrub bordering the runway to encircle the enemy. By stretching the defenders thin and attacking from multiple angles, you can create gaps in their line that your assault team can exploit.
A Sharpshooter’s Paradise
Because of the longer sightlines, this map is a favourite for players who pride themselves on accuracy. If you can find a good vantage point behind a crate or a prop, you can lock down entire lanes of the field, preventing the enemy from moving up.

Trust & Safety: Managing Open Ground
We know that the idea of “storming” an open field might sound a bit intense, and we want it to feel intense! But at Ultimate Paintball, your safety is always our absolute top priority. We have designed this high-speed scenario to be thrilling while maintaining the highest safety standards.
Controlled Chaos
Open maps can sometimes lead players to get a bit too close in the heat of the moment. That is why our custom-trained field Referees are always positioned right in the thick of the action. They monitor the “storming” phase closely to ensure that safe engagement distances are respected. If players get too close, our refs are there to intervene immediately.
Communication is Key
Our staff maintain constant two-way radio communication across the entire park. This allows us to coordinate the start and stop of these high-speed assaults instantly. If a player slips or loses their mask, the game can be paused in a split second.
We are a fully Safety Certified venue, and we have qualified first aiders on site at all times. We also ensure every player is kitted out with professional-grade protective gear, including full-face masks and body armour. This means you can focus entirely on the mission, sprinting, diving, and capturing the objective, knowing that you are in safe hands.
The Debrief
After the intensity of storming the airfield, your team is going to be buzzing with adrenaline, and probably a little out of breath! These paintball mission scenarios are physically demanding, often requiring short bursts of sprinting and rapid movement. Once the extraction is complete and the game is won (or lost), it is time to take a well-earned break.

Head back to our base camp, where you can relax in our covered seating area. With space for over 200 people, there is plenty of room for your entire group to sit down, strip off the gear, and hydrate.
